PRODUCTS INFORMATION

PeelingBeauty is dedicated to the journey towards healthier and more youthful skin by combining clinically proven technology with the highest balanced purity ingredients.Glycolic acid works as an exfoliating agent because of its high acidity but easy solubility. When placed on the skin as part of an exfoliating cream or gel, glycolic acid goes under the damaged upper layers of skin and destroys the ‘glue’, which holds dead skin to the surface. Our products can help you attain and maintain vibrant, healthy-looking skin at any age. Peeling Beauty has a  skin care collection that has proven gentle and effective for most skin types.

Glycolic Acid has been beneficial in improving dry skin, treating age spots, decreasing facial lines, and rejuvenating the skin's surface. Dermatologists and estheticians have been utilizing glycolic acid as an effective and proven tool in the fight against the aging process.

Glycolic acid Peel Kits is the perfect choice for at-home use with proper preparation, application, and post-treatment care.

****HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR PEEL STRENGTH: If you have never had a chemical peel before, or if you have sensitive skin, it is recommended that first time users start with the 20% or 30% glycolic acid solution and leave on the skin for only 1-2 minutes.

TEST:

Test a tiny, small portion of your skin under the jaw bone to see how well your skin tolerates each percentage of glycolic acid peel. The 40% and 50% level of Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel is recommended for people who have used this product previously and know that    their skin can tolerate this level of strength.

Description

This is an all natural. Astringents are useful in controlling surface oils and lowering skin’s pH after cleansing. At the same time, they also tighten the open pores of the skin. Astringents are best suited for oily skin or combination dry/oily skin. With the addition of glycolic acid it can be used as an addition to your skin care regimen and to help decrease the appearance of acne and blemishes, plus promote additional exfoliation along with the use of a glycolic lotion.

The base can be used as-is or you can be creative and add extracts, essential oils and other nutrient ingredients for their special properties. Keep in mind that additional ingredients will lower the glycolic acid content so keep these to a minimum or use a stronger strength astringent when you start experimenting with additional ingredients.

NOTE: You may encounter a cloudy reaction when adding an essential oil or fragrance because oils and water do not mix. Clouding can be minimized by using an emulsifier like Polysorbate 20 until the product becomes clear.

What Are Alpha-Hydroxy acids?

Long before the chemical structure, or even the existence of alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) were known, they were unknowingly being used as an ingredient for improving the condition of the skin. French women in the court of Louis XIV washed their faces with old wine for the same reasons. Old fashioned facial masks made from fruit, honey or yogurt were also unknowingly taking advantage of AHAs as their active ingredient.

Alpha-hydroxy acids are commonly found and isolated from fruits of all sorts. That is why they are referred to as fruit acids. For example, malic acid is found in apples, citric acid can be isolated from most citrus fruits and glycolic acid is commonly found in honey and sugar cane. Lactic acid is found in milk that has soured and Tartaric acid can be isolated from fermented grapes (wine).

It is the natural, feel good origin of alpha-hydroxy acids that make them so appealing. Couple this with the genuine hi-tech biochemistry that they exhibit and it is no mystery as to why they are so popular.

How do AHAs Work?

The full mechanism of action of alpha-hydroxy acids is not yet fully understood. It is known however, that they function in two distinct fashions.
First, they can act as a simple humectant that absorbs moisture from the atmosphere. When applied to the skin, these hydrated AHAs act to increase the water content of the skin and thus moisturize the outer layer of the epidermis (the stratum corneum) and consequently make the skin softer and more flexible.

The second method by which AHAs are thought to act is by reducing corneocyte adhesion and accelerating cell proliferation within the deeper basal layer of the skin.

This exfoliating action of AHAs occurs as a result of their ability to break the bonds between dead skin cells that from at the surface of the skin.Skin normally as a dead layer of cells at its surface (the corneocyte layer) and AHAs can speed up the normal process of skin cell regeneration and sloughing.

This results in increased flexibility of the skin as well as decreased formation of large dry flakes at the surface of the skin. When applied in the high concentrations of a peel, AHAs operate at a deeper level and cause detachment of keratinocytes and epidermolysis.
At lower concentrations, AHAs primarily reduce intercorneocyte cohesion thus promoting exfoliation and thinning of the stratum corneum. A thinner stratum corneum is more compact and flexible.

Sun damaged skin is becoming more and more of a problem in our society. Prematurely aged skin brought about by long term UV radiation exposure (actinic aging), is in part caused by a thickening of the stratum corneum resulting from increased corneocyte cohesion. Long term UV radiation exposure also degradescollagen in the dermis layer of the skin.

There is also evidence that excessive amounts of abnormal elastic fibers also tend to accumulate within the dermis of photodamged skin. Glycolic acid at low concentrations works well to decrease corneocyte cohesion by promoting exfoliation of the outer layers of the stratum corneum. This is especially relevant since most pigmentation alterations associated with photodamage can be attributed to the thickening of the stratum corneum.

Most of the evidence on how AHAs work seems to point to exfoliation and the resulting turnover of new cells in the outer epidermal layer of the skin. There is increasing evidence however, that AHAs may be working at a much deeper level. There may well be increases in procollagen and Type I collagen that occur in the deeper dermis layer brought about by long term treatment with AHAs.

One study showed that topical treatment twice a day for 3 months with 5% glycolic acid cream at pH 2.8 affected surface and epidermal changes, while the same treatment, but with a 12% cream reached deeper and influenced both the epidermis and the deeper dermis layer, and resulted in increased epidermal and dermal firmness and thickness. Both showed clinical improvement in skin smoothness and in the appearance of lines and wrinkles.

Another study showed that AHAs may thin the outer stratum corneum, but actually end up increasing the overall thickness of the epidermis. This thickening is accompanied by increased synthesis of glycosaminoglycans and collagen. It is apparent that alpha-hydroxy acids may do more than just increase exfoliation and skin cell turnover.

Application of the Product

Before applying the Glycolic Acid Chemical Peel to your face, make sure it is thoroughly cleansed, well rinsed, and completely driy. It is very important that you only apply this product to clean dry skin. All oils on the skin surface must be removed prior to use, or it could effect product effectiveness. DO NOT APPLY TO BROKEN SKIN, and DO NOT RUB INTO THE SKIN. Any soap or skin cleansing product must be well rinsed off. These agents contain a high pH level, which will decrease the effectiveness of the product.

You will leave the Glycolic Acid on your skin for approximately 2-3 minutes, depending on what week of treatment you are on.

After leaving the peel on for the allotted 2-3 minutes, you MUST NEUTRALIZE THE PEEL. This will stop the action of the glycolic acid. To neutralize, just place about a pinch of BAKING SODA (just regular baking soda you may already have in your cupboard) into a cup of water, apply directly to the face to neutralize, then rinse well with more water.

You may use the glycolic peel on your hands, face OR neck.

Step 1: Cleanse the face, neck, and hands with the Deep Cleansing Solution with a cotton ball or sponge. Rinse the cleanser with clean warm water and gently pat dry.
Step 2: Apply a small amount of Glycolic Peel Solution to the area cleansed and prepped. Leave on for recommended amount of time.
Step 3: Rinse well with cool water for 2 minutes and pat dry.
Step 4: Apply moisturizer to treated areas

Organic Hyaluronic Acid

 What is this product for

100% Pure Organic Hyaluronic Acid Serum
 For All Skin Types

Hyaluronic Acid (sodium hyaluronate, Hyaluronan, NaH) is a powerful moisturizer with humectant properties. Promotes the reduction of wrinkles by improving capillary health and promoting skin nourishment. When HA is applied to the skin, macromolecular HA forms an air permeable thin layer and keep the skin smooth and moist, and protecting skin from environmental strains.

Plump up dense skin and give yourself that youthful look again. A healthy glow that comes from within! But don't stop at your beautiful face. This amazing serum also works wonders on your hands, legs, feet and every other part of your body you in need of a bid drink!

Hyaluronic Acid (HA, Hyaluronic, Cyclic Acid) is a critical component of the skin that helps to retain moisture, keeping the skin firm, and preventing wrinkles by adding volume to the skin. As we age, our stores of HA diminish, and our skin is no longer able to fight wrinkles as effectively.

Replacing the HA is the most effective way to repair damaged, aging skin and that is why its also the most popular injectable wrinkle and line filler used by Dermatologists. In topical applications, 60% (.6% or 600) is the maximum the skin is able to absorb, anything more or less than that will not be as effective.

Problem Solver: Dry or irritated skin. Wrinkles, fine lines, dull complexion, aging skin, eczema.

Main Function: Intense hydrations, plumps and illuminates skin for a more youthful look and feel. Smoothes fine lines and improves circulations. Best at bedtime and will not clog pores.

How would you like to have smoother, younger looking skin?

DIRECTIONS: Apply each evening to face and neck after cleansing, toning and exfoliating. This high concentration formula only requires approximately a pea sized portion per application.

INGREDIENTS: Organic Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Hyaluronic Acid, Phenoxyethanol
